This beginner-level workshop at Maker Cube will teach you the basics of woodworking. You will learn how to work with hardwood, glue joints, use power tools safely, and shape your project. You’ll leave with an 8 x 12 inch cutting board that you made yourself!

Come cozy up with The Gingerbread Men this winter! Fresh out of the pan, these cookie-crazed crooners sing the classics like you know them. They cover many musical genres from Doo Wop, Jazz, and Barbershop all while ensuring they don’t stray too far from the versions you know and love. The Gingerbread Men are sure to gingersnap you into the Christmas spirit!

Rose Gellert Series - The Four Jays
Visit the Rose Gellert Hall for an outstanding performance by stellar musicians Joan Blackman (violin), Jane Hayes (piano), Julia Nolan (saxophone) and Jodie Proznick (double bass). In celebration of Canadian Music Week, the quartet’s performance will include compositions written and/or arranged for the quartet by Jodi Proznick and Fred Stride.

Christmas Wish Breakfast
You are invited to join Langley’s annual Christmas Wish Breakfast! Anyone who brings a new unwrapped toy for the Langley Christmas Bureau will receive a complimentary breakfast prepared by the Newlands culinary staff.
The crowd will be entertained by local singers and musicians and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Volunteers from the Langley City Fire Department and RCMP will be on hand to receive the toys on behalf of the Christmas Bureau.
